Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Automatic Door Installation Engineer to join an established team in a thriving, successful business. The ideal candidate will have proven, relevant experience (ADSA approved or small wire experience) although, further training will be given.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Attending the installation of manual doors, automatic doors, fire doors and steel door sets
  • Finding fault, repair of automatic doors & associated accessories when required
  • Installation of new parts, accessories & furniture
  • Working in swing, sliding, and folding automatic doors
  • Liaising with office staff to relay important information required when quoting of works
  • Attendance at monthly engineers’ meetings when required
  • Working both on your own & with other engineers when required
  • Report updates and paperwork using the Job Logic app
  • Provide technical support to office staff & clients when required
  • Always comply with statutory Health & Safety obligations
  • The ratio of workload is split 70% repairs and 30% installation


  • Experience with the installation of automatic swing, sliding, and folding and revolving doors
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Good interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills
  • A flexible and positive approach is expected to help us meet and exceed our customers often demanding needs
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety
  • Strong organisation and time management skills – this role will require working to customer deadlines
  • Solid technical background, with understanding and hands-on experience in the automatic door industry
  • Ability to report clear, concise information to the operations department


  • Hold a mechanical, technical or construction qualification
  • Hold BS EN 16005 or BS 7036 Authorised technician card
  • PASMA / IPAF qualified
  • Blue or Gold CSCS card holder
  • Electrical / wiring qualification
  • NVQ in related subject
