Social Worker (Children) Grade 9 – Hull City Centre

Halo Recruit are working in partnership with Hull’s leading Authority to recruit for a Social Worker (Children) Grade 9 to join their team, on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full time position working 37 hours per week.

Skills

· Skilled in Systems thinking and the development of children social care as an outcomes oriented service system.

· The ability to maintain effective teams ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff within the team.

· A comprehensive knowledge of systemic practice and its application in the children social care arena.

· Ability to deal with conflict across a range of issues and able to support others to identify solutions to problems.

· Ability to deal with conflict across a range of issues and able to support others to identify solutions to problems.

· Ability to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to a range of audiences.

· Ability to inform and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people and/ or vulnerable adults.

· Ability to influence, support and challenge across a range of contexts within and outside of the authority.

· Ability to provide written presentation information of a complex, sensitive or contentious nature to a range of audiences. High Level of communication and interpersonal skills. Clearly spoken with a good telephone, face to face and presentation skills.

· Knowledge of psychological, social, cultural, spiritual and physical influence on people and human development throughout life span and the legal framework for practice.

· Experience of working within the legal framework for children social care.

· Skilled in routinely and efficiently applying critical reflection and analysis to increasingly complex cases.

Requirements

· Full driving

· Registered with Health Professions Council (HPC)

· Recognised social work or appropriate professional qualification – Essential

· Evidence of continuing professional development e.g. post – qualifying awards – Essential

· Criminal Convictions Declaration – Essential

PAY

£26.60 per hour

HOURS OF WORK

08:30am – 17:00pm, Monday – Friday
